  1. THE JOKER:The clothing codes relate to clown costumes, as does his facial make-up, in a horrific ironic parody, as he is the embodiment of evil. You note the camera angle, which positions The Joker as someone who seizes power and is a showman. This pose is dramatic and exaggerated; the protagonist is framed between the buildings atop the steps. You make thoughtful comments about the dirty and grainy text of the Joker title.

  2. Evidence of appropriate and relevant genre research; evidence of drafting & revisions after feedback; sophisticated poster design with title, appropriate strapline, protagonists well places, all genre conventions included; suitable colour and layout for a horror/ ghost poster, fits in cohesively to rest of promo pack.

  3. YOUR POSTER Excellent evidence of genre research and drafting. An extremely successful product. Your poster for Charlotte has huge audience appeal and clearly fits in cohesively with the film promo pack as a whole. It features two protagonists who belong to the same age group as your target audience and the lighting is subtly handled. The two-shot frames the key visual code of the shadowy Belvedere which plays such a prominent, dramatic role in your trailers and in your website, ensuring that the ghost / thriller genre codes are signalled clearly. The poster meets all the required conventions (Title, tagline, talent, billing block, social media, festival screenings) except for the release date.
